Happy Holidays!

Hope you are all having a great holiday season. All the elves at Whimsies are settling in for a few days off to recover from a bustling season. Every year we close fron Christmas day to New Year's Day to recharge and spend precious time with friends and family. We hope you can do the same.

We will reopen on Friday January 2nd. Please stop by to check out our post-holiday sale. All holiday items and even some other items will be marked down.

Our winter store hours are Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. We are closed on Sunday and Monday.
Do you need a late gift? We still have plenty of wrapping paper. Gift wrap is free on any regularly priced purchase.

See you soon!

Holiday Hours Have Begun

The new holiday hours go into effect today. We are now open from 10 to 7 Monday through Wednesday, 10 to 9 Thursday and Friday, 10 to 7 Saturdays, and noon to 5 Sundays. The new window decorations are up. You have got to see the cool garland Jackie made! And of course Meadowbrook Gourds.

We are also featured in the December issue of InTown Westchester Magazine, on page 47, the Green Teen WishList. Our listing is for Zulugrass Necklaces, which are amazingly versatile! Necklaces, bracelets, anklets... you can even double a strand and make a choker without the strand breaking, that's how elastic these strands are! Mix and match the strands as you wish!

Though Zulugrass is a great gift, they barely scratch the surface of the super gifts we have to offer this year! Beautiful and unique jewelry, handbags you won't find anywhere else, winter accessories to keep you warm AND fashionable, not to mention ornaments and everything else to make your home the festive place to be this season! We can't wait to see you!

Happy Thanksgiving

Hi, everyone!

We hope you all had a great Thanksgiving with family, friends, and food. Now we can all ease on into the holiday spirit. Just wanted to let you all know that we are ready to help you with your gift-giving needs.

The new Meadowbrook gourds from Pennsylvania are here to add a little warm light to your gatherings. We already have the ornaments hung on the tree, too.

There are many beautiful new tiles from Motawi Tiles in Michigan, including framed pieces. And you should see the great books we have for all ages. Amazing jewelry? We have that, too.

This quick note is also to remind you that we offer pretty gift-wrapping to make your purchases complete. We are open every day, and extended hours are just around the corner.

See you soon!

Almost Lost Our Lease!

Lucky for us, we got an extension on our lease. Whimsies would have been closed already with no new space to move to. We are now in place until February. This will get us through the holidays and give us a chance to find a place to move to. The hope, of course, is to stay in Tarrytown. There isn't a new location yet, but keep your fingers crossed. Big thanks go out to all the wonderful folks who have been looking out for Whimsies and rooting for us. If you hear about a space, let us know.

In the meantime, we have been shopping! There are loads of new things in the shop already and even more on the way. If you are in the market for a new handbag or purse, you need to come in and see us. The colors and shapes are amazing. We even have a kit so you can sew your own purse. And believe me, this is no camp project either.

We'll keep you posted on all the exciting news. Please stop by and say, "Hi." The Whimsies 20th anniversary is this October, and of course there will be a party. Details will be forthcoming!

Wishing for a Winter Wonderland

Wishing for a winter wonderland. There is not really any snow on the ground right now, but here is a picture of what we already had this season. Whimsies loves snow, so Jac is going to have to go way north to ski this weekend. We hope everyone had a great time with family and friends this holiday. Our little vacation is over and we re-opened on Friday, January 4th at 10 a.m. Our winter hours are Tuesday through Saturday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. We are now closed Sunday and Monday through winter.

The holiday merchandise is on sale for 50% off. This includes cards, ornaments, and books. There is even an handful of Meadowbrook Gourds in the bunch. See you soon!
